Shadows of Amun was this weekend, and as a perm NPC, I was there. It was our first game in 30BC, and I had fun being various characters, from murderous slaves to Roman charioteers.

- I was visiting Mexico with an ever-changing group of people. Staying in a shack filled with wasp's nests. Participating in some Candomblé ritual (I know it's not Mexican, but apparently my subconscious doesn't), which went very trippily for me, unlocking a latent magical gift. I am working on Byzantine garb for an NPC in Shadows of Amun, using this pattern.This weekend I have achieved a tunica (the underlayer), and most of the dalmatica (the overlayer) I am still trying to figure out how to attach the clavii--really, inch-wide trim--in straight lines. Shadows of Amun happened. I NPCed my first boffer/live-combat game.

It was amazing. I only hope it was just as interesting for the PCs!

This weekend I further expanded my LARP horizons--this time by NPCing for event 0 of Shadows of Amun, a campaign boffer game.
